Miami Flight Guide
Miami, Florida is more than just an important transport hub in the southwest of the United States. With around half a million people, Miami developed into a vast economic and tourist centre and holidaymakers from around the world fly to Florida to visit the world famous Miami Beach in Greater Miami.
Miami is not exactly known for attractions but there are some interesting things to see.A must for every tourist in Miami is the Downtown area with all its skyscrapers and many restaurants. No tour through Miami is complete without a visit to Little Havana where tourists can get a taste of Latin-American culture and delicious cuisine! Also try the Cuban coffee that is served all around Little Havana. However the major attraction is and remains Miami beach with its beautiful sandy coast and clear waters.
The Richmond Hotel Miami Beach is a popular hotel and features a heated pool as well as a good restaurant. It is located in the centre of Miami Beach and therefore quite expensive. A cheaper but still beautiful hotel is the "Continental South Beach Oceanfront” on Collins Avenue. It has direct access to the beach and moderate prices. Australians can fly with Qantas, several US airlines as well as Canadian airlines- it largely depends on the city of departure. The trip will take 21- 23 hours and usually involves at least one stop on the way.
