Louisville Flight Guide
Louisville is the largest city of the US state Kentucky and is home to approximately 1.2 million people. It was established in 1778 by George Rogers Clark and is located along Ohio River at the border of Indiana.
Louisville has become famous through the Kentucky Derby, the most respected horse race in the United States. Other attractions include ‘Thunder Over Louisville’, an air show by the US military featuring the US largest annual fireworks. In 2005, the Muhammad Ali Center was opened and is a permanent exhibition of boxer Muhammad Ali’s life and work. The largest church of the US is also found in Louisville- The Southeast Christian Church. Near Louisville is a mysterious stone fortress from pre-Columbian times. Theories suggest that it was constructed by Welsh explorer and settler Prince Madoc in the 12th Century.
Passengers from Sydney and Melbourne will have the best flight connections on a trip to Louisville while travellers from other cities are likely to stop there first. Choose between a range of US and European airlines and expect to fly no less than 22 hours.
