Los Angeles Flight Guide
Los Angeles, the "City of Angels" or casually called L.A. has 3.9 million inhabitants and is definitely a city full of contrasts. On the one side is the glamorous Los Angels that we know, on the other hand it is full of social misery. It is the second largest metropolis in the United States and thousands of tourists come to Los Angeles every year to breathe a bit of Hollywood air and maybe even meet a famous movie star.
Probably the most famous district of Los Angeles is Hollywood which is also called "the dream factory". At the Hollywood Boulevard lies the “Walk of Fame“ where fans of various celebrities can touch their idol’s hands and feet. The Boulevard is also home to the "Kodak Theatre” which hosts the annual Academy Awards. A standard tourism program also includes a ride on Mulholland Drive around the Hollywood Hills. To explore the richest part of Los Angels, make your way to Beverly Hills with its expensive designer shops on Rodeo Drive. Santa Monica is also a wealthy area located directly on the California coast and is famous for its magic sunsets. Venice Beach is also very special where visitors can watch numerous artists, fortune tellers, dancers, rappers and musicians.
Locals say that Los Angeles has no seasons – and they are not completely wrong. The temperatures are warm all year round and any time is a good time to visit L.A. Qantas, Vaustralia, Delta and a number of US airlines offer non-stop flights from all major Australian cities to Los Angeles. The journey will be around 13 – 14 hours on a direct flight, and approximately 20 hours on a connecting flight.
