Liverpool Flight Guide

Liverpool is located in the northwest of England and has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1972. Liverpool has become famous largely through its musical history and The Beatles. In addition to two football clubs that play in the British Premier League, Liverpool has also some of the world’s finest golf courses.

The centre of Liverpool is also the cultural centre of the city and features a wide range of cultural activities. Apart from the various exhibitions, museums, theatres and art galleries, the city centre is also a good place to go shopping. For a cultural balance after a big shopping spree, visit the Docklands where tourists can see the World Heritage site. The nightlife is also concentrated in the city centre, and a city exploration can easily be done on foot.

Liverpool’s climate is mild all year long. The summers are warm but not hot and in winter the temperature rarely goes below 0°C. Ideal for a visit are the months between June and August with average temperatures of 14°C. However, rain is always possible in England!
Not surprisingly, almost all flights to Liverpool from Australia stop in Asia and London on the way. This results in long journey times and tiring waiting hours- but on the bright side, passengers can travel from almost all Australian airports. Expect to fly around 30 – 35 hours.
