Houston Flight Guide
Houston is the largest city in Texas and is home to approximately 5.6 million people. The city is the heart of "Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown", which is the largest cultural and economic centre of the U.S. Gulf Coast. Houston is world renowned for its energy and aeronautics industry. The region is also the world’s leading centre for accessories in the production of oil.
Houston has many good universities and is the centre of arts featuring The Museum of Fine Arts, which is Texas’ largest art museum. The restored Houston Downtown area is also famous for its theatres and concert halls. A walk through the city is very impressive due to the enormous skyscrapers and shiny buildings all over the city centre. Visitors who prefer it more natural can stroll through one of the numerous parks and the Houston Zoo. Very interesting to science lovers is NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Centre, where tourists can explore astonishing exhibitions of earth and space.
Houston has several large airports that are serviced by international airlines. It is recommended to search for a flight connection with only one stop on the way to reduce the journey time, which can be between 23 to 33 hours. Passengers can choose from a variety of domestic airlines such as Qantas, but also a range of US and Asian airlines.
