Denver Flight Guide
Located at the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains, Denver was established in 1858 and is the capital of the US State Colorado. The former gold mining city is home to just under 561,000 inhabitants. Today Denver has the largest airport in the United States and one of the largest in the world.
The historical building of the Colorado State Capitol is a good starting point for a sightseeing tour. Other attractions include the Four Mile House (the oldest house in Denver), the Molly Brown House Museum and Ocean Journey (a massive aquarium). Also worth a visit is the theme park Six Flags Elitch Gardens and of course the City and County Building of Denver. A trip to one of the local football stadiums is also recommended.
The Brown Palace Hotel is the oldest hotel in Denver and visitors who don’t mind expensive room prices should definitely look into this luxurious and traditional place. Australians can fly to Denver from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. However, Qantas offers connecting flights from other Australian airports as well and passengers usually fly via Los Angeles. Depending on departure airport, the journey takes around 16 -21 hours.
