Chicago is located along Lake Michigan in the US state of Illinois and is known worldwide for its legendary Jazz heritage. Chicago is divided into 77 so-called Community Areas, and the districts of Chicago Loop and Near North Side are the city centre. Chicago River flows through the city and leads into Lae Michigan- magnificent scenery in the middle of the metropolis. From Hancock Centre, tourists will get stunning views of the entire city with its impressive skyscrapers, street canyons and the sea of lights after dark. The nightlife of Chicago is dominated by tunes of Jazz and Blues which contribute to an authentic Chicago experience. The "Greek Town" is a great place to dine and clubs in River North invite people to vibrant parties. Useful to know: Clubs in Chicago usually open after 11pm and guests must be at least 21 years old to get in.
Chicago has several train stations which makes is easy to be accessed from other US cities. O`Hare International Airport is the largest airport of Chicago featuring 7 runways and 4 terminals. Chicago Midway Airport is the second airport but is much smaller and mainly used by cheap US domestic airlines. Passengers from Sydney and Melbourne can fly to Chicago via Los Angeles with an average journey time of 21 hours. It can be much longer if departing from other Australian cities as more stops and connecting flights are involved.
