Burlington Flight Guide
Burlington is Vermont's largest city, but with less than 40,000 inhabitants still considered a small town. It is situated at Lake Champlain which is one of the larger lakes of the United States and extends up to Canada. Burlington is considered to be a university town and has a large percentage of students among its residents.
The first settlers in this area arrived in 1775 but most of them left at the beginning of the Revolution. The oldest and historically most interesting part of the city is along the Battery Street and the Citi Hall Park. Other historic districts are Pearl, South Willard and Church Streets. Church Street Marketplace is a pedestrian zone in the historic district and is an ideal place for a shopping spree.
Burlington Airport is mainly serviced by US and Canadian airlines which results in many stops on the way from Australia. The flight durations are therefore quite long, varying from 22 to 30 hours on average. To avoid long waiting and journey hours, why not make Burlington part of a multi-city trip through the US?
