Albuquerque Flight Guide
Albuquerque is a beautiful city in the desert of New Mexico. It is located in the heart of the state and an ideal starting point for the exploration of the southwest. The area around Albuquerque has been inhabited by Native Americans for many centuries before it was established in 1706. With over 753,000 residents, Albuquerque is the largest city in the state of New Mexico. It combines a vibrant mix of cultures, languages, picturesque sceneries, historical attractions, an excellent climate and many museums, galleries and shops.
Albuquerque’s attractions are an enriching experience for every visitor. The most interesting sights include parks, amusement parks, golf courses, landscaped gardens, historic sites, casinos, spas, wineries and much more. It is one of the best places to learn about Native American culture, as well as New Mexico’s Spanish heritage. There are numerous museums, galleries and cultural centres to explore, as well as markets where visitors can purchase ethnic jewellery, clothes and decoration. The so-called District is a good place to spend the evenings featuring theatres, bars, pubs and restaurants.
It is not easy to travel to Albuquerque from Australia and passengers may have to put their own flights together. Probably the best way to do it is to fly via Dallas and catch another flight from there. Alternatively, tourists can take a coach trip from Dallas to Albuquerque, which is more economical. Depending on how the trip is organised, it can take several days to reach Albuquerque.
