Adelaide Flight Guide
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia and is located at the coast of Saint-Vincent-Gulf. It has a population of 1.1 million people and was named after the British Queen Adelaide. Unlike Sydney and Brisbane, Adelaide was not established as a penal colony. It gained its nickname “festival city” due to the large cultural events such as the Glenelg Jazz Festival and the Festival of Arts.
Adelaide is surrounded by beautiful parks and a Botanic Garden which is perfect for a relaxed holiday. Culture and history lovers will have a variety of galleries and museums to choose from to explore the city’s aboriginal heritage and colonial history. The Zoo is also worth a visit, as well as the Warrawong Sanctuary and the Cleland Wildlife Park. Tourists are also often seen on the top of Mt. Lofty Lookout where they can overview the city and the astonishing ocean.
Students and Backpackers on a budget can book with various hostels in Adelaide. The BackPack Oz has received positive reviews and is a great place to meet other young travellers. For a more luxurious stay, book at the Hilton or Best Western. There are various flight options from domestic cities and visitors should browse through the internet to grab a bargain with a low-budget airline. Alternatively, passengers can fly with Qantas or British Airways from any Australian airport.
