The city of ‘La Paz’ (which means ‘Peace’) is the administrative centre of Bolivia and is home to approximately 2 million people. The city centre is dominated by large neon signs and posters as well as many shops and modern office buildings. Worth seeing is the church of San Francisco which has a long history going back to 1549.
