The Kingdom of Norway is one of the Scandinavian countries in northern Europe. It is bordered by Sweden to the east. Its capital and largest city is Oslo. The official language is Norwegian. Direct flights to Norway are not available from New Zealand; however, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa operate cheap indirect flights. The main departure airports are Sydney, Perth and Melbourne Tullamarine. The average direct flight time from Sydney or Melbourne to Oslo in Norway in a commercial airliner is 22 hours, assuming one refuelling stop.
