The state of Kuwait is a sovereign Arab emirate located in the Middle East. Its capital and largest city is Kuwait city. The other major city is Jahrah to the north west of Kuwait city. There are bonze age and Greek archaeological sites to see as well as a visit to Failaka Island. The weather in summertime from May to September can get very hot and dry occasionally going over 45 degrees Celsius. Sandstorms are quite common in June and July because most of the country is desert. The main international airport in Kuwait is the Kuwait international (IATA: KWI). Direct flights to Kuwait from Australia are not available. The main airlines operating indirect flights are Qantas and Singapore Airlines.
