Cambodia is officially known as the kingdom of Cambodia. It is located in south East Asia and neighbours Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. The capital and largest city is Phnom Penh. Other major cities include; Pailin, Sihanoukville and Kep. The official language in Cambodia is Khmer. Tourists can see wildlife that includes the Indian Elephant as well as marine wildlife. There are also numerous ancient architectural masterpieces, Buddhist temples and historical sites. Cambodia experiences tropical monsoons and there are two distinct seasons, a rainy season from May to October and a dry season from November to April. The main international airport in Cambodia is Phnom Penh International Airport (IATA: PNH). Other international airports are Angkor International Airport (IATA: REP) and Sihanoukville International Airport (IATA: KOS). There are no direct flights to Cambodia but Qantas and Singapore airlines offer indirect flights from the main departure airports of Sydney Kingsford Smith, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne Tullamarine and Gold Coast. The average direct flight time from Sydney or Melbourne to Phnom Penh in Cambodia in a commercial airliner is 9 hours.
